Wisconsin Casserole

Ingredients

  • 2 cups potatoes sliced
  • 1/2 green pepper chopped
  • 1 small onion chopped
  • 2 cups kielbasa or smoked sausage cut into 1/2-inch slices
  • 1 Tbsp brown mustard
  • 1 Tbsp maple syrup
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2-3/4 cup cheddar cheese shredded
  • 1/2 cup cracker crumbs or crumbled potato chips

Instructions

  • In a frying pan, saute potatoes, green pepper, onion and sausage for about 15 to 20 minutes.
  • In a 3-quart greased casserole dish, mix together the sauteed ingredients, mustard, maple syrup, sour cream, milk pepper and cheese.
  • Sprinkle top with the potato crumbs.
  • Bake at 350°F for about 45 minutes.
