Who’s hungry? Hungry Girl is.

Fresh potatoes

Have you ever heard of Hungry Girl? If you haven’t, we’re going to tell you all about her. Hungry Girl is actually a person named Lisa Lillien who is a New York Times best selling author and the creator of the Hungry Girl brand. Her website describes Lillien this way, “Lisa is a typical woman battling the same food issues most females struggle with every day. She considers herself a ‘foodologist’, not because she has some kind of fancy degree, but because she is obsessed with food –– how wonderful it is, and how much of it she can eat and still fit into her pants.”  She is so popular that 1.2 million people subscribe to her daily emails about food, recipes, and her tips and tricks.

In an unprecedented relationship, the United States Potato Board has agreed to partner with the Hungry Girl to further promote healthy eating and sing the praises of the almighty potato. Here’s what the Hungry Girl says about potatoes, “How can you not love potatoes? Potassium, vitamin C, fiber, and just 110 calories in a 5.3-oz. skin-on spud. With many unique colorful types to choose from and so many ways to prepare them, potatoes ROCK!”
