Contest Rules

1. Description of Recipe Contest.

The Wisconsin Potato & Vegetable Growers Association (WPVGA) is sponsoring the “Win With Wisconsin Potatoes Recipe Contest” (“Contest”) and will award prizes to those winners as chosen from among valid entries by the WPVGA. The Contest begins at 12:01 AM (CDT) September 6, 2011 and ends at midnight (CDT) on June 1, 2012 (“Promotion Period”). Within the overall Promotion Period, there are four individual recipe contests:

Winter Comfort Foods
The Madness of March
Go Beyond a Potato Salad Summer

All entries received for a given contest are eligible for that contest only and will not be included in subsequent contests.

2. How to Enter.
No purchase necessary. Visit www.EatWisconsinPotatoes.com to submit recipe entry. By providing their email address, entrants understand their entry information will be used by the WPVGA for subsequent marketing and communication efforts.

3. Prizes.
For each of the four recipe contests, one Grocery Gift Card from the grocery retailer of the winners’ choices as provided on the entry form, will be awarded in the amounts of $150 – 1st place; $100 – 2nd place; $50 – 3rd place.

4. General.
Winners will be notified by email to confirm acceptance of the prize and to verify the mailing address for the prize. Potential winners must respond within five (5) days of first attempted notification or at WPVGA’s discretion he/she will be disqualified and an alternate winner will be selected. By accepting a prize, a winner agrees to allow use of his or her name, voice, statements and/or photo for advertising this or similar promotions without limitation and without compensation, except where prohibited. ALL TAXES ON PRIZES ARE THE SOLE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE WINNER. Prizes are not exchangeable, transferable and there are no cash substitutions. By participating, entrants agree to be bound by these rules and the decision of the WPVGA as final in all matters relating to the Contest. WPVGA is not responsible for any electronic, hardware or software program, network, Internet or computer malfunctions, failures, or difficulties of any kind, including without limitation, server malfunction, and virus distribution or by a human error which may occur in the process of recording on-line entries at the web page. WPVGA is not responsible for any damage to an entrant’s computer hardware or software that may occur as a result of entrant participating in the Contest. Any attempt by an entrant to interfere with the operations of the Contest is a violation of criminal and civil laws; WPVGA reserves the right to seek damages from any such entrant to the fullest extent permitted by law. In the event of a dispute regarding who submitted an on line entry, the entry will be deemed submitted by the holder of the email account. If, in WPVGA’s opinion, there is any suspected or actual tampering with any portion of the Contest, or if technical or other difficulties outside of WPVGA’s control compromise the integrity of the Contest, WPVGA reserves the right to terminate the Contest and in such event to select winners from among all valid entries received before such termination. All entries are the property of the WPVGA.

5. Eligibility.
The Contest is open to legal residents of the (50) United States and the District of Columbia who are 18 years of age or older. Contest is void where prohibited by law. Employees, officers, WPVGA members, and representatives (and members of their immediate families and those living in the same household of each) of the Wisconsin Potato & Vegetable Growers Association, its affiliated boards, committees, and advertising agency, and any other company involved in the design, execution or production of this Contest are not eligible.

6. Release.
By entering the contest, all contests release and hold harmless WPVGA and its employees, officers, directors, members, shareholders and marketing agents from any and all losses, damages, claims and actions of any kind arising in connection with the contest or resulting from acceptance, possession, use or misuse of, or defects in, a prize, or participation in the contest, including without limitation claims based on personal injury, death, property loss or damage, publicity or privacy rights, and/or defamation.

7. Winners List Request.
Confirmed winners will be announced approximately 14 days following the Contest deadline. To obtain a list of all winners, send a self-addressed, stamped envelope, postmarked by June 1, 2011 to:
